We paired the strawberry cheesecake dip with animal crackers, apples, and pieces of waffle cones. This is simply what I had on hand, but other fun options would be strawberries, grapes, pineapple, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, or pretzels.
What I love about this recipe
Simple, simple, simple, and quick! Display it on a fun platter and it looks like some effort went into it. FAQ and substitutions
Can I use fresh strawberries? Absolutely, I would suggest using 1 cup and blending them until a purred consistency. It is the dead of winter and strawberries are expensive right now, so I opted for the strawberry jam!
Can I use frozen strawberries? Yes, let them thaw out and then puree in a blender
Can I use low fat cream cheese? Yes, but it may turn out a bit more runny and I would suggest placing it in the fridge for an hour before serving.
How can I quickly soften cream cheese and butter? Remove the wrappers (no microwave fires please!!) and throw them both in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 15 seconds.
Can I eat right away? Yes, you can serve this dip immediately. To be a bit less runny, pop it in the fridge until ready to serve.
