Snow Ice Cream
When the first snowfall of the year happens, my family loves making this easy snow ice cream! It is so simple with only 4 ingredients and did I mention, SO delicious! The toppings are endless and your kids will have the most fun making this snow ice cream.
Snow ice cream
The kids and I have a little “snow day” tradition on the first big snow of the year. This includes playing outside, wearing our pjs all day, reading snow themed books, and making tasty treats such as this recipe. You will likely already have these ingredients on hand. It is always a fun way to make a snowy day special.

Why I love this recipe
Simple things like this recipe make memories your kids will hold onto. My oldest remembered it from last year and requested it again. It is simple, quick and little hands can “help”. If my parents are reading this, they will likely laugh remembering all the instances of when I was supposed to be skiing and playing in the snow and yet instead eating handfuls of snow. This recipe is much more delicious I must say.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I substitute the whole milk? Yes! if you have 1-2% on hand feel free to use that. I have also used evaporated milk
Is snow ice cream safe to eat? This is definitely a personal decision. For my family and I we have never had an issue!
Can I freeze it afterwards? I do not recommend as it changes the consistency quite a bit. Almost just to ice.
