Ingredients

  • Pulled Pork – 1 lb., cooked. Find a delicious recipe here!
  • Hawaiian Rolls – There are many different variety and brands that are delicious
  • Pepper Jack Cheese
  • BBQ Sauce – Any type of your choosing
  • French Fried Onions – Provides an amazing crunch and flavor
  • Unsalted Butter – To top the sandwiches with prior to baking

How to make pulled pork sliders

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • If you are using leftover pulled pork, you will want to warm the pork prior to placing on slider buns. I recommend heating the 1 lb. of pulled pork on a skillet with 1 tbsp. of cooking oil.
  • Slice your Hawaiian rolls in half with a long bread knife or serrated knife. Place bottom half of rolls onto the baking sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce onto the bottom rolls. I prefer to use a pastry brush, but using the bottom of a large spoon would also work.
  • Add pulled pork evenly onto all all slider buns.
  • Place a layer of pepper jack cheese on top of the pulled pork. I used a half of slice of cheese on each slider bun.
  • Sprinkle French fried onions on top of the cheese and place the top of the roll onto each sandwich.
  • Spoon melted butter on top of sandwiches. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

Pepper jack cheese is used in this recipe. My family loves it and it provides a little bit of “kick” to the sandwich. Other great options would be provolone, sharp cheese, or mozzarella.
