Back to School Breakfast Tradition
First day of school traditions can be as simple or elaborate as you desire. Grabbing a box of your kids favorite donuts or making a fun breakfast item! Pick 1 or 2 things to make the morning not just your typical breakfast.
What do I make for a back to school breakfast?
I love making these alphabet letter and number pancakes. They are quick to make and my kids LOVE them. You can use this recipe with homemade batter or to save time, use a store bought mix!
- Make the batter
- Pour into a squeeze bottle (you can also use an empty condiment bottle)
- Cook on a skillet or griddle.
For more tips on making ABC letter and number pancakes visit the post here. You can make the pancakes the day before and reheat in the microwave as the first day of school can be busy in the morning.
Pancake toppings bar
Make a topping bar so your kids can pick their own toppings: whipped cream, fruit, maple syrup, butter, or chocolate chips.
What to serve letter and number pancakes with
- Protein! Help your kiddo stay full for longer: Breakfast sausage, chicken sausage, bacon, or ham
- Fruit: Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, bananas, cantaloupe, or watermelon are some of my kid’s favorites
