10 Easy Preschool Lunches (Nut Free, Egg Free)
Lunch is my least favorite meal of the day. It always sneaks up on me and it seems hard to find something quick and nutritious without serving the same thing day after day. These lunches are for my kids, ages 2 and 4. They are healthy, quick to prepare, and quick to clean up!

10 Easy Preschool Lunches
We had friends live with us this past summer and my friend and I commented multiple times how we discovered new food options just seeing what the other one served for lunch. I hope this article does the same for you and you can find some inspiration in these 10 easy preschool lunches! These easy preschool lunches are allergen friendly, being nut free, egg free, and many of them gluten free!
How do you make easy preschool lunches?
- Provide a protein, vegetable, and fruit. This doesn’t always happen (sometimes they just eat a bagel!), but is good goal to aim for.
- Prep fruit and vegetable ahead of time: Have them washed and chopped. This makes it easy to grab out of the fridge and throw on a plate.
- Find precooked meat options. You will see some down below. This helps save time!
- Lastly, utilize leftovers. This also saves time and saves leftovers from ending up in the trash
Chicken Sausage, red grapes, and carrots. Ketchup and sour cream to dip. My kids prefer veggies so much more if they have something to dip in.
Chicken sausage with ketchup, tortilla chips and sliced avocado (my daughter loves avocado and my son will not touch it)
We get this brand of paleo andouille chicken sausage from Costco and LOVE it!
Pulled Pork (leftovers from this recipe, so good!), steam-able edamame, and applesauce
Pepperoni, kosher dill baby wholes, shredded cheese, and clementine
Macaroni and cheese, sliced deli ham, yellow pepper, carrots, and sliced apples. Homemade ranch for dipping (plain Greek yogurt and ranch packet mixed together).
Sliced roast beef deli meat, salt and vinegar chips (I can’t believe they love these), kosher dill baby wholes, provolone cheese slice, sliced avocados
Pasta and meat sauce (leftovers from the night before), green grapes
Frozen meatballs (made in the air fryer), kosher dill baby wholes, mozzarella cheese stick, and strawberries.
Sunflower butter and jelly sandwich, watermelon slices, and pepperoni
Aidells Chicken & Apple Smoked Chicken Sausage Links (from Walmart), strawberries, and cucumber. Homemade ranch (plain Greek yogurt and ranch packet mixed) and ketchup for dipping.
Need divided plates for your toddlers or preschoolers?
I have used several different brands and I love these Bumkins Silicon Grip Plates They grip to the table well and help prevent spills! They are a good size and hold a good amount of food in each compartment.
If you want some divided plates WITHOUT the suction check out these divided plates. They are a great price and great for kids who don’t want their food touching!
I hope you had an inspiration for easy toddler and preschool lunches! Happy eating!
How to help with picky eaters?
You are not alone in the fight to introduce a wide variety of foods! To help my kids with new foods:
- I include 1 food item on the plate I know my kids will enjoy. It makes the less familiar or desired foods more tolerable if they sit down and see something on their plate they like.
- Instead of a large serving, put a small portion of the new food
- Include your kids in preparing the food. They will be more interested in this way. We use this kid safe knife kit ALL the time!
