Brown ground sausage on stovetop over medium-high heat. Break into small chunks as you cook. Drain excess grease.
Bake the wonton wraps ALONE in the oven for 8 - 10 minutes until the ends begin to turn slightly brown.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the wonton wrappers. This includes: ground sausage, softened cream cheese, drained diced tomatoes with green chilies, yellow bell pepper, Monterey jack cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Mix until well combined.
Scoop out 1 - 2 tablespoons of the mixture to fill each wonton wrap.
Bake for an additional 8 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Allow to cool for a few minutes then transfer to a serving platter.
Enjoy!
Notes
*Wonton wraps: I find these in the refrigerator section of my grocery store.Be sure to drain the can of tomatoes and green chilis so the mixture isn't too watery.Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They reheat well in the oven at 350 degrees for a few minutes until warmed throughout.
