Ingredients

  • 1 Pillsbury refrigerated classic pizza crust
  • 1/2 cup barbeque sauce any type of your choosing
  • 1 ½ cup cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups cooked pulled pork covered in BBQ sauce of your choosing
  • 1/3 cup red onion thinly sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a cooking sheet thoroughly with butter or non stick cooking spray
  • If using leftover pulled pork, make sure it is warmed and covered in BBQ sauce before you place it on top of the pizza. You can simply toss the pulled pork in 1/4 cup BBQ sauce and warm on a skillet over medium high heat for 3-4 minutes.
  • Roll out your dough on the cooking sheet. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to your desired thickness.
  • Prebake for 8 minutes prior to placing toppings (Pillsbury brand instructions have you prebake. If you are using a different brand confirm with their package instructions)
  • Once prebaked, spread 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce on the dough (leave a small portion on the outside edges for the crust)
  • Spread your cheddar and mozzarella cheese in an even layer
  • Then spread the pulled pork and red onions evenly across the pizza
  • Bake an additional 8-10 minutes. You will want want the edges of the crust to turn slightly brown and the cheese to be melted.
  • You can place the pizza under the broil function of the oven for 1-2 minutes if you desire the cheese to be more crispy. Just watch the pizza closely so you don't burn it.
  • Slice into square pieces and serve!

Notes

Additional topping options: Crumbled bacon, jalapenos, and green onions
Using a block of cheddar and mozzarella cheese and shredding yourself will improve the flavor and allow the cheese to melt better
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven on 350 degrees for about 4-5 minutes
